Great Is Who God Is and Great Things Is What He Does!

Trey Johnson

Not long ago as I was closing one of our strategy sessions, I heard this come out of my heart,  "God is doing Great things in our life!"  When I said it to the people I had the Lord say, "That is no longer a cliche' but it is the time in which we live".  He did not say that this is the year, He said that this is the time of Greatness.  Indicating that from this point on the church as a corporate man will walk in Greatness.

Our heart is to get people out of religion and into relationship.  Relationship with the Lord and the body of Christ is were you will find out the Great plan God has for your life.  Jeremiah 33:3 in the Amplified translation says "Call to Me and I will answer you and show you GREAT and mighty things…"  He has revealed to us that part of the Great things that He wants to accomplish through this ministry is "STRATEGY 55".  Which is having 55 churches around the world and 55 ministries within these churches.

See, God is Great, that is who He is, and Great things is what He does.  Psalms 86:10 says "For you are GREAT and work wonders!  You alone are God".  Psalms 111:2 says "The works of the Lord are GREAT…."  Great is who God is and Great things is what He does in any persons life who is willing to believe that He will do great things for them.

There is an anointing of Greatness upon this ministry and in all of these cities we go to, God will reveal His greatness to those people.  Jesus said in John 14:12 that "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works, than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."  God has given us answers for peoples' lives.  And part of the answer for their life is that there is nothing greater than our God.   There is no sickness, no amount of lack, no amount of defeat, no problem that is bigger than our God.  Hebrews 2:3 tells us that we have a Great Salvation and included in this salvation is  great freedom from the powers of darkness, great relationship with the creator of heaven and earth, great protection, great deliverance, great health  and great provision.

Don't go any further in life without making this Great God, your God, by making Jesus Christ your Lord and personal Savior.  Romans 10:9,10,13" tells us "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  If you would like to do that right now just read those scriptures out loud where ever you are at and believe in your heart and confess Jesus' Lordship over your life and you will be saved.  This is the first step in experiencing the Greatness of God. Contact us and let us know about the decision you just made and we will be honored to help you live this Great life God wants you to live.

Delight Yourself In the Lord

Trey Johnson

When you delight yourself in something, it means you take great pleasure in it, you experience a high degree of gratification and extreme satisfaction.  That's why Psalm 37:4 directs us to "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

It's easy to delight yourself in almost anything—good or bad.  For example, you can delight yourself in your family, hobbies or your job—and you can delight yourself in destructive habits like taking drugs, committing adultery or indulging in pornography.

That's why God—who always looks out for our good and instructs us in the ways that will bring blessing and goodness into our lives—tells us to delight in Him! When you delight yourself in the Lord, He can give you the desires of our heart. That's because when you delight yourself in something, there is an exchange that takes place.  When you express your delight in your relationship with the Lord—through reading His Word, praying, fellowshipping with fellow believers, showing His love to others—He in turn manifests Himself to you in those areas where you delight yourself.  The same is true when you delight in other things. When you delight in your job, family, hobbies, making money, taking drugs, committing adultery, indulging in pornography or even in harboring unforgiveness, you receive the consequences of your actions and attention.

King David fully understood this. All throughout Psalm 119, in verse after verse he expressed his delight in God.     Then in 2 Samuel 22:18-20, David says, "He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me."  Because David delighted himself in the Lord, God delivered him when he was in trouble. That was the exchange.  David experienced extreme satisfaction in and from his relationship with God.

If you will delight yourself in the Lord, He will delight Himself in you. That means he will take extreme satisfaction in you—and He bless you exceedingly. That means when you need Him to help you, deliver you or give you wisdom, He will have an open door into your life to bless you above and beyond what you could ever ask or think!

That is the kind of God we love and serve. So delight yourself in Him!
